All You Need is a Little Puppy Love

When trying to give back to the community you have a multitude of options, you can work a soup kitchen, read to the elderly, join the neighborhood watch, or adopt a homeless animal.  One of the best facilities I’ve ever laid my eyes on is located right here in Kansas City. Wayside Waifs is a state of the art facility for animals that just need a little TLC.  What better way to not only give another living creature a second chance through pet adoption, but to improve your own life, by filling it with the vibrant energy of a playful puppy or the sweet caresses of a self-indulged kitty cat.

Pet Adoption in Kansas City is simple and heartwarming. Just take one look at this sweet little puppy, she will just melt your heart…

I am just under a year old…past the pesky puppy stage, but still young and silly, with so much life ahead of me! I weigh in at about 52 pounds and am a purebred American Foxhound. I am one gorgeous dog, with soft floppy ears and an expressive, sweet as can be face. Like my breed, I’m friendly and social, loving and affectionate, fast and athletic. I have a hound nose on me too, so please be sure I stay in a safe and secure area when outside, or I might follow my nose into the next county before you know I’m gone. I came to Wayside as a transfer from the shelter in Excelsior Springs, when they ran out of space. I’m happy to be here at Wayside and am fitting in quite nicely.  I just want a family to love and care for, who will do the same for me. I want to feel safe and loved like a family member. I want to belong. I want to never be homeless again. Please, won’t you give me a chance? I’m here at Wayside, waiting for you now.  Love, Raci”

Wayside Waifs is committed to finding homes for all adoptable pets. Wayside is the largest no kill pet adoption campus in Kansas City, placing approximately 5,400 animals each year. Wayside does not euthanize adoptable animals, and there are no time limits for animals in their care

Come down and meet these beautiful creatures, everyone deserves a second chance right? If you already have a pooch or a cat, get them a new buddy or treat yourself and an animal to a new life together. If all you can do is help out by donation, the get yourself and your best friend out to the POOCHES on the PATIO and help raise funds for this wonderful institution.

For more information on availability of animals for adoption, visit their website or contact them at (816) 761-8151.

Stay Classy and Kind KC.
