Gardner Charity Golf Tournament

October 5th marks the registration deadline for the Judy Hart Foundation Golf Tournament, which takes place October 12th in at the Gardner Golf Course in Gardner, KS.  The charity event is a 4 person scramble that has a shotgun start at 8:00am.

The four-man scramble features teams of four players competing against one another. In this format, each team’s players hit from the teebox, then the team members choose the best of the four shots for the next shot. All team members then play the second shot from that location, and again choose the best shot. Play continues in this manner until the hole is completed. The team then records its score and maintains that format for all 18 holes. – www.golfsmith.com

Proceeds raised by the scramble style tournament will benefit the Judy Hart Live2Love Foundation.  Judy is a local area teen who is in desperate need of a lung transplant.  The tournament hopes to raise $60,000, which will be used to provide post operation living expenses and specialty care.  Teams from 2-4 players are encouraged to sign up for the scramble.  The organization is also hoping to get hole sponsors set up for the event.  If your are interested in entering, visiting, or sponsoring the tournament you can contact John Cox at (913) 856-7086.
