Free To Look: Bass Pro Shop Olathe

BassProShopIf you are an outdoors type of person or you just need to get the kids out of the house for while, Blogger Local Kansas City recommends you head on down I35 south to the Bass Pro Shop Olathe mega-store.  If you aren’t familiar with Bass Pro Shop, it is a one stop destination for all outdoor recreational activities and lifestyles.  If you need a boat, some ammo, a tent or just some stinky bait for catching catfish, this is the place to go.

Besides having everything under the sun for your outdoor needs the gigantic building has tons of stuff to look at.  The Olathe location is designed to make you feel as if you aren’t next to bustling highway but out in the back country looking to set up camp.  They’ve taken great attention to detail in creating nature based scenery recreations all throughout the store.  Flocks of ducks and geese seem to pass over head as buffalo look out over the fly fishing area from a rocky plateau.  Deer jump through tall grass as a hunter eyes up his shot.  The center piece of the Bass Pro Shop Olathe location is the mountain scene that dominates the center of the store.  The two story high scene depicts deer, bobcats, mountain lions and other animals interacting  with each other among the rocky back drop of a babbling stream that cascades into a water fall as it goes over a cliff.  Below the water falls into a sunlight pool filled with native North American fresh water fish.BassProShop_#4

If that wasn’t cool enough they also have a huge tropical fish tank full of brightly colored fish and coral reef.  The Bass Pro Shop Olathe location is a great destination for people who are in need of almost any outdoor supply.  The knowledgeable staff are ready to help and are never to pushy.  Weather you want to get a jump on getting ideas for Christmas or you just need to get some energy out of the kids, get in the car and head on over to the Olathe Bass Pro Shop because it’s always free to look.
