This eclectic urban bar was made famous by its signature martinis, cocktails and dynamic beer selection. With a casual & trendy ambience and a friendly staff Bar Louie has turned into the hangout spot for the Northland and it does not disappoint. Every time I drive past it or meet my friends there for drinks, the place is packed!

With Weekly specials there is something for everybody. With a running Happy Hour Monday thru Friday from 4 to 7, Dollar Burgers from 5 to close on Tuesdays and Dollar Drafts on Wednesdays Bar Louie is always serving up a good time. The Rooftop patio offers a comfortable and chill space for smokers & non-smokers who wish to get some fresh air or enjoy a cooler evening. The outdoors fire-pit offers a little warmth for those who wanted the fresh air but not the chills.
With a full bar and well trained bar-tending staff Bar Louie is prepared for any drinker, whether it be a Coors Light drinking college student visiting mom & dad or an Old Fashioned drinking father of four… The possibilities are endless. So venture out and try a new drink, or stop by and check out the Zona Rosa location yourself!
Here’s one to try that my dear friend & [quite the catch] bartender Brian K. quizzes me on all the time… I always fail. So here we go, maybe I’ll remember it this time.
Old Fashioned
Put 1 sugar cube in glass
Add 2-3 dashes of Angostura bitters
Add 1 Splash of Soda Water
Muddle (smash) until sugar is dissolved
Fill glass with ice cubes
Add whiskey to the top of the glass, stir
Garnish with an orange slice and maraschino cherry
If you do not like the “sourish” taste of Tennessee whisky and prefer a sweeter drink try Canadian whisky instead.
…As for me, I’ll stick to my always delicious Gin & Tonics.
